In the same way that many other Venetians, in the year 1890, Francis Piazzetta, a widower with five children, face the difficult living conditions in Pederobba, with no future for them, decided to emigrate to Brazil.
This was one of the most difficult decisions of his life, which implied a radical change. One side, the difficult crossing of the unknown ocean, with all possible risks during the long journey of more than thirty days.
